What is the name of your state? CA
A friend of mine was injured at a job he was contracted out to work for by an employment agency. His hand was caught in a conveyor belt and he might have lost partial use of it. The company he was working at is a very large world wide company. The employment agency he works through told him he has to settle with their personal insurance company and he has to use their worker comp attorneys. My question is does he have to use their attorneys or can he hire his own attorney? Which company does he file the injury claim against? the company he was injured at when he was working, or the employment agency he works through?. Thank you

If I am not mistaken, your friend has to file with the agency he works with...I did. Also, you can choose your own attorney for workers comp. I hope this helps.
