NY company. I have an employee out on comp. but I have not received any updated medical documentation from him. I don't even know if he is still under a doctor's care. I have left several messages for this employee at his home but have not received a call back. Can I fire him for failure to provide medical documentation?

Can I fire . . . on workers' comp

Send him a letter by regular mail AND certified mail, return receipt requested. Tell him he has five days from receipt of letter to contact you or you will consider that he has abandoned his job.
