My C Corporation has been located in Nevada since 1998. I have lived in California since 1996. As an engineer, I plan to work as a (1099) contractor in California. I will pay all payroll taxes including California taxes when I take a salary from my C Corporation. I have no assets, employees or other significant corporate property. Is there anyway a can avoid getting a foreign corporation in California?
