What is the name of your state?Minnesota

I was recently demoted without the employer giving me just cause, only stating that I wasn't taking the company where he wanted to go. In the state of Minnesota an employer is required to give just cause and also to provide in writing of their intentions five days before the demotion is to occur.

I am wondering of the legal recourse I have and what they might be.

And there is no law in any state that requires such.
only stating that I wasn't taking the company where he wanted to go.
Sounds like just cause to me.

and, of course, you can point to the specific law you're talking about right?

You are sadly mistaken. Until you come back here and post the exact law that gives you any rights in this matter, that's all you get.
