What is the name of your state? Georgia

My wife worked for a major airlines at Hartfield International Airport in Atlanta Ga.
She began working for the Airline during 1996, and worked full time through 09/2003.
09/03..she requested and was granted a (2) yr leave of absence which had an end date of 09/14/2005.
During 06/2005 she notified the airline that her schoolwork etc. was completed , and she was ready to return to work.
The airline told her that they needed to find a slot for her to be placed in. The airline next informed her that she would probably have to return as a new employee subject to testing etc. The airline has failed to call her back to date, and she now wants to know what options she may have concerning the appearant mistreatment she is receiving from ther airline.

P.S. The airline in question is solvent..and has not filed for bankrupcy, etc.

Any help or suggestions in this matter is greatly appreciated...Matasha.

The airline granted your wife a two-year leave of absence (which is extremely generous of them.) They certainly haven't been holding a job open for her all that time and it's not at all surprising she needs to wait while a position becomes available.

If your wife is a member of a union, she's free to file a grievance and see what happens. If not, then she has no options but to wait, although she's free to contact Human Resources and see if anything is in the offing.
