I am being sued in small claims court. We went to pretrial and received a court date. We went to court at date and time assigned by Judge. The person that is sueing me was late. The judge waited but he didnt show. Then he arrived after we left and he refiled. How can he do this? And does it then start over with pretrial? How can he do this if he missed the first trial?
