A family member bought a used car last Tuesday. Four days later, after the 3-day window to reconsider was up, the buyer was called by the dealer saying the bank didn't want to take the loan that the dealer had given him, the buyer. The dealer wanted the car back, or to have the buyer get alternative financing. However, the auto purchase contract is signed, and the loan offer was a big reason the car was purchased. Does the dealership have the right to undo this deal?

Additionally, the purchase price had been pushed on him as $400 more than the sticker on the car until he stood up to the dealer; then the dealer said he had made a mistake. The dealer had taken the sticker off, but the buyer had seen it prior to that.

We are uneasy about this dealership, and where we stand in relation to the contract for the purchase of this used car. The used car is in our possession at this time.
