Work injury and may not take me back

I got hurt at work and need surgry. I talked to my employer and she said if I can not lift I can not keep my job. Due to this injury, I will have trouble finding workanywhere. It is because of my job that I got hurt. So is it fair and can she leave me go with out any effects

You got hurt on the job, and workman's comp is paying you, and gonna pay for your surgey.. Then yes your employer can let you go if they can not put you in a restricted postion or have nothing for you to do within your restrictions.. Workman's comp will take over paying you
