help! Company didn't tell me i couldn't cancel

I purchased a program and within a week I attempted to cancel it. They informed me that they couldn't cancel it. I was never informed of this when I payed for the program and I never even used the program and they took my name off all there lists as if I were cancelled. But the charges are still on my credit cards. What can I do? :mad:
