 What is the name of your state? Texas

I was injured at work on 9/26 due to the building maint co. not removing all trash over weekend. I slipped on a plastic chair mat (with holes in it) that was on the floor in our kitchen at work. I saw the mat on fri put next to the trash can to be removed by the cleaning crew. On Monday the trash had been removed but the mat had not and was laying on the ground with the trash can on top of it. I am being told that no one can be held responsible for this hazardous condition. I have injured my upper back and neck in this fall and need some advise.

Thx,
dw
