What is the name of your state?MO
My business partner and I are 50/50 owner of a company. I would like to sell my half. We have no partnership agreement in place that determines how this would take place. I am interested in how that would work. Since we are 50/50, if my partner does not agree on who I choose to sell to, are we at a stand still in the process or can I dictate what happens to my 50% of the business?

Unless stated in a prior startup contract, you can do with your 50% what you want. You can sell to him or to anyone else you want.
