My father alowed me to use his vehicle. I allowed a friend to drive it. My friend was in an accident that was his fault. The car was totaled. We had insurance on the vehicle. Therefore my insurance company paid the totaled loss. My friend felt so bad that he gave me an extra $1000 for the inconvenience. The other party involved in the accident decided to sue. So insurance companies have been calling for information. My insurance company questioned me about receiving some extra money from my friend. Is this illegal? Did I do something wrong in the eyes of the insurance company by accepting this money? Wondering.....
