What is the name of your state? La. I know this may be long but I am so nervous and desperate, can you please make an exception? The hurricanes that hit us have made all of this worse.
I have been receiving work comp for 2yrs, and seeing multiple drs, as the first told me there was nothing he could do for my SI joint problem that has become chronic since I kept working with it for 10yrs after the initial injury. I was always in pain, but maintained working since I am a single parent. My new superviisor knew all this and kept transferring me to more physical units where I was reinjured. I have a claim with the EEOC which is making me more anxious.I also began having severe anxiety attacks and basically a nervous breakdown while she harassed me and now my loss of income, pain,etc. I kept asking for additional drs who could hopefully fix things. Their drs were rude and suggested sending me to other drs. I waited up to 6 months to get into to their drs a few times. They sent me for the test to see if you can work(forgot the name) where I signed a paper saying I would see a dr, but only saw a tech who wasn't concerned about my heartrate going up to 150 while I was doing it. She laid me down for 15 minutes,took it then recorded it as normal. It was stated it was questionable.I have since been diagnosed with fibromyalgia (could be related to after an injury and huge stress, but can't prove it) and this place says they do these tests for pts with fibro. over many days, but did not.
I have been in so much pain and distress I went to a few drs on my own and paid for it.I was sent right away to an outpatient 2wk psych program for severe depression and possible suicidal thoughts. Now am in intense therapy I pay for and go swimming on my own to try to get better, and P.T., mental health therapy and psych.
I finally am able to leave the house without having a major anxiety attack and paranoia but still have minor ones and can't see or talk about the workplace and people. I don't want to ever do nursing again as it makes me ill to think about it. I got out of the house as the therapist talked me into it, to dress more normal and try to act normal. I am extemely paranoid about them watching me or following me. I ran into my boss at the Y and two coworkers at a restaurant. They probably went back to work and relayed this and that I looked fine.
I received a letter today(Sat) saying we are to go to mediation. I am panicing about this. My lawyer had sent them a form saying they had to approve me going to the same pain dr as before, a new psych that their psych recommended, and a surgeon as their surgeon suggested. Their specialist did a discogram which was positive, so they say I need surgery, but to get my anxiety under control first. Why are they refusing these visits now? Could they be following me now that I am getting out more, going to multiple drs visits and running errands, though obviously in pain?
