car accident need help

Hello. I need some help. I recently lost control of my car and hit a fire hydrant. I was not giving a ticket but was told by a cop that I was going to receive a bill from the water company. Will it really come? If so what could the bill come out to? And since I did not get a ticket at the accident does that mean I will not get one? Please help me.
