Background: I caused a 5 car accident. I missed my first court date, made the second and found that their was a complaining witness at the first, and they missed the second. My hearing was rescheduled for a month later. There was no medical attention needed and all cars drove away.
Question: What impact will a complaining witness have on my ticket? I was given a ticket for Failing to reduce speed/cause accident. There was no dollar value on the ticket. I am concerned because this is my first ticket and want to make sure I am not hijacked by a witness when I should have had an attorney present.
