Hi, I was hoping you might be able to answer a couple of my questions.
If a babysitter is asked to pick up the children from school in their car what kinds of legal liability issues does the babysitter need to be thinking about?
Do they need a particular kind of car insurance?
Should they have liability insurance for their job?
Does it make a difference if they are self employed vs. employed by the family?
Should the self employed babysitter have some kind of liability insurance when working unsupervised in a family's home? Does it make a difference whether the babysitter is self employed or employed?
Is a babysitter working a few hours for a couple of families legally required to register as a small business owner?
