im being sue after almoust 3 years.

my fiancee was involved in a car accident last july 2003.
we went to court cuz the car was under both of us name, tickets were paid and we never heard anything about the case until last couples of weeks (10/11/2005) when i got this letter saying that the lady involved in the accident is sueing us.
my question, is she in the right to sue after this period of time?

What is she suing you for? Is it for an injury? Check the statue of limitations in your state. I also got sued a year after an accident and I was told that in PA they had a year to make a claim. My papers were served almost to the day of the accident.
