What is the name of your state?New Mexico:

Hello, I believe I have a lemon. It meets all the criteria from my state. It is currently in the shop going on five weeks, and it is the fifth time for the same problem and it is under the manufacturers warranty still. It is a Mercury. Also, I am an ASE certified master automobile technician so I can verify the problem has the potential to limit the life of the vehicle.

Here are my questions.

Should I contact the manufacturer directly or talk to the dealership and do you think they would be fair?

Should I get a lawyer instead?

Since it is still at the dealership should I get it back from them before proceeding?

Many thanks for your replies.
