I have a previous post, same day, dif time. Same wreck.
My husband was rearended. Taken to hospital. Other driver recieved ticket.
Car totaled. When we took off old (2001) car and added new one(2003), our
premiums went up. Can our insurance raise out rate due to an accident that my husband was involved in but was not at fault?

yes they can raise your rates and you added a newer car to your policy which costs more to insure.
I agree. Another reason why your rates can increase after a not-at-fault accident is if you were previously receiving a credit for being claim free. Even if a claim isn't your fault, you lose that credit. That, and the fact that you got a newer car would explain the increase in premium.
