Pennsylvania-My friend works for the D.O.T. Her bosses, boss brought his great dane to the office. The dog literally ate her nose and part of her face. Since she and her higher up boss are state employees, she was told she can not sue him. Also workers Comp will only pay for minimum treatment. She has had 12 surgeries, 3 of them to reconstruct her nose and they have all collapsed. There is a 1 surgery procedure to fix all this but workers comp says it's too expensive and won't approve it. She asked her Dr. and he said he would be sued for malpractice if he preforms the procedure without worker comp approval. Her husbands ins. won't cover her because of it happening at work. What can she do? 12 surgeries in 9 months and it's still not right. What are her alternatives?
Thanks,
Doylemom
