I am employed as a private security/plainclothes shoplift investigator for a VERY LARGE private security company.
The company requires that we have a polaroid camera, and handcuffs to perform the job.
The company will not re-imburse investigators for these required items.
Is this legal?
We were also (verbally) ensured that we would always be working with a partner (safety issue), but I have been assigned working alone, three days a week. I am concerned re: becoming involved in an altercation that results in my being injured, as a result of this change in policy.
What are my options?
