What is the name of your state? NC

I had a temporary lapse of insurance coverage...and have received a notice from DMV that my license tag may be pulled for 30 days. I have a hearing next week, but am worried that they may pull my license tag. I live out in the country, not near any public transportation, have only 1 vehicle, and need it to get to work. I am willing to pay any necessary fine, ...
is there a way I can prevent them from taking my tags\

Thanks

Did you commit the infractions you're accused of that are causing them to pull your tags? If so, your only hope is to plead stupidity.
