What is the name of your state? Wisconsin

In my son's school the Auto shop often works on student's cars. My son, who is 16 gave his keys to his friend so that they may work on his car. However, his friend was to bring the keys to class so that the teacher could assign a liscensed driver to drive the car to the shop class. Instead, my son's friend and another boy, both not liscensed, skipped school and took it for a drive. They ended up rolling it 6 times and both boys ended up in the hospital, with the driver being seriously injuried. Now they are sueing us?? My son never gave this kid permission to drive his car, and he broke the shop room rules by driving it. Are we in big trouble???
