What is the name of your state? connecticut my husband was hired six weeks ago by an auto dealer with a thirty day trial period. two weeks after the trial period he was fired for not producing enough hours. he was at work for at least nine hours per day. for the first four weeks he was paid a weekly salary and then they switched him to a flat rate system. he was called in to the manager's office on tuesday at 2pm and was told that he was terminated immediately. is this legal? he is a technician not a sales person.

Sure is. Working in auto sales is a tough business, very rarely do folks in this field last a long time at one dealer. Get use to it if your hubby decides to make a living at it.
