I would like to know if my boyfriend would be eligible for the community custody criteria therefore making it available for him to qualify for the drug program if he has had a weapons charge in his past but it is not part of the current sentence he is serving?

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

What state are you in?

Such programs are only available to certain people fitting very strict criteria. Speak with a legal aid attorney in your state or hire a private criminal defense attorney to see if such a motion can be made.

Weapons charges are always relevant: violence, etc.
