In the Heat of an Argument

Is it illegal to tell someone you hate them? Also, is it illegal to tell someone you wish they were dead? (in this case, no threat of harm is mentioned or indicated) Sometimes these things come up in a heated argument...just wondering if they can come back to bite you legally in Connecticut if tape recorded.

Yes and no.. if you wish someone dead and they then turn up dead the next day.. and the police hear the recording.. then yes, it could bite a little.. but generally no.
