What is the name of your state? NY

Was doing 67 in a 50mph zone. 2 points and $140 fine on citation. Officer put my plate # on the citation, but mistakenly cited the plates were VT. plates. I have NY plates. Is this worth going to court or just pay and accept points? Do I have a case since my plates are not VT plates?

No, not on basis of plate number alone. You could fight it using standard defenses against speeding tickets (which includes technicalities and errors on tickets), or just plead guilty with explanation and hope for a good deal with reduction below point limit. They have your driver's license number and that's what counts.
