My Neighbors trees/shrubs

My neighbor has several trees/bushes/shrubs/and berry plants that hang at least 6 feet into my yard. I know that I can trim them but they keep growing back and are ruining my "no maitenance" yard with berries, leaves, and such. I need to know if I can ask my neighbor to keep his growth in his yard or ask him to pay for the contant upkeep of keeping his stuff out of my yard.
