What is the name of your state? TN

My father was convicted of wire fraud charges in federal court. He served two years, fined about $2 mil., and is currently in a half-way house. Our family has no assets, no money.

An aunt died about a month ago. She had about $80k in stock with my dad's name as the co-owner of the stock. It was not in her will. Her lawyer mailed the stock certificates a couple of weeks ago. Dad knew nothing of the stock until receiving.

Is there a way for dad keep the stock? Or, is he going to have to forfeit it for restitiution?

Thanks
Forrest, Newbie
