What is the name of your state?VA

A guy my husband works with owes 900.00 back child support for a child who is over 18,(20 something). He wants to file for a rapid refund but is unsure if they will intercept his taxes or not. I know that if the child is still a minor the amount is 500.00 before they will intercept the taxes but what about if the child is now an adult?

Thanks in advance.

You will have to get that answer from the child support agency for the state in question. The IRS holds refunds for state agencies at their request.
