What is the name of your state? California
I'm 50, husband is 60. We have two children ages 14 and 10. We are looking at downsizing and want to use the Prop 60 tax relief. I have talked to our county about how to do this and have gotten two different opinions.
What I need to know is how (if possible) he can use this since he is over 55 and preserve my ability to use it later if needed. One county employee said the benefit was by couple and the other said per person.
Is it possible to do this? If so, how? Do we put him only on the title initially? Does that matter?
Thanks!
