What is the name of your state?Oklahoma
We have a small repair business which had contracted for 6 months with an out of state company to do repairs on mobile homes. In December they fired their park manager and proceeded to charge her with emblezzelment. They have refused to pay us the $1475.00 they owe us. They are now saying that they will not pay us until we help them with their case against their former manager. When we complied with their wishes they will pay us. They have confirmed that that the work we billed them for was completed. Do they have a right to make us give them our bank records? Can they hold our pay simply because we do not want to be involved with their case? They have also threatned us with arrest if we do not do as they ask. Wouldn't that be malicious prosecution?
