I was awarded a monetary judgement in small claims court in NY state (not NYC) recently. While presenting my desired damages, the judge said that my proposed interest rate of 10% was too high. He said that he would use the "courts adjusted interest rate" to determine the interest I will collect on the monies I won. Does anyone have any idea what the "court adjusted interest rate" is in NY state?(not NYC) I thank you all in advance for taking the time to answer my question. Thank you.
