My friend has been married just over one year. During that time her husband refused to let her have a job. Her husband then found someone else and recently moved in with her. The wife could not afford to keep the "rented" home they have and moved in with her parents.

Does my friend have valid grounds for divorce and can she get spousal support or alimony in Michigan?

Thanks!

She can get a divorce yes.. with the length of marriage, then the chance of SS or Alimony is nil.
