Hi!

I am from Colorado and I was divorced during 2005. I am completing my taxes for 2005 and have to enter information regarding the state income tax refund received and reported on 2004 taxes (reported on a 1099-G). We did itemize on our return last year.

My question is this...do we each claim 1/2 of the amount listed on the 1099-G? We split the refund we received exactly in half. I would appreciate any information. Thanks!

Is the 1099G in both names? If so, then splitting it would make sense.
