I'm doing my taxes with Turbo tax, but I can't figure out if I really qualify for the Federal EIC. I alternate my son as an income tax exemption every other year. 2005 is the Father's exemption year. So, I have put down that he is not a dependet this year. He does live with me more than 80% of the year, we qualify according to the income guidelines, the father wouldn't anyways. So then I'm under the impression that we would qualify for the EIC. Does this sound right?
