What is the name of your state? california
My mother bought a piece of property 7 years ago(30 acres) and there is a road (dirt) that only one neighbor uses that goes through our front yard. There is another property beyond that used to be(40 years ago) owned by a common owner. It was recently purchased by a young contractor for DEVELOPEMENT(4 homes). We have blocked access(not deeded in our title) and he is now suing us for access. He is insisting that he be allowed to survey the road as part of his "RIGHT of DISCOVERY" in two weeks, however the case does not come to court for 2 months.Does he have RIGHT of DISCOVERY or should he have to wait until (if) the court rules that he has access?thanks
