The volkswagen rep. says he thinks its sap and bird droppings. I don't think it is. Even if it was, it should not do that in 6 months. They are trying to say its only happening on the top surfaces of my car therefore that proves its sap and bird droppings. But through my research when a car has paint problems it starts on the top surfaces because they are at a 45 degree angle to the sun--therefore I would not have paint damage showing on other surfaces yet. How could my other car that sat in the same location under the same conditions with the same care not show damage. Then the dealership tried to tell me they don't have paint problems when in fact a black jetta was in there being painted for acid rain damage. My other question is that I found an article online that said New York was trying to put in its lemon law a statement that if a car manufacturer produces a product that they know will not stand up to normal conditions (acid rain,etc.)they would be liable for producing a product that they know will not hold up under normal wear and tear. I cant find a reference to this anywhere.
