my former employer is still sending me a paycheck every two weeks... I have received two so far, but left the company over two months ago... they just started showing up in my mailbox...

Am I legally required to return them? Am I in violation of some statute if I keep them?

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Yes because you know it is a mistake and you must notify them and send them the money.
