My husband is now on long term disability. Last year when he was going through the process his company sent him a letter saying that he (husband) had paid for his disability insurance. Also, on his sign up forms for insurance it was listed as 'Life and Disability'. That portion based on his last paystub and compared to his W2 was post tax.

However when we received the W2 it was listed as income. He has talked to them a couple of times but they are up and down on if they are going to change it or not.

Is there any free help out there because we now can not afford an attorney? How should we proceed? We have filed an extenstion on taxes to allow time to get this straightened out. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!What is the name of your state?
