Im a non - custodial parent. I am really frustrated because my two boys age 5 and 8
live with their mother and grandparents. They all smoke and the grandmother is a
chain smoker. I can't remeber the last time my kids where healthy- always coughing
and having other prblems. I can't convinve them not to smoke in their house. And
they are defending their smoking to the death. They even lie to the kids doctor
saying that they only smoke around a window( bull).
I know some non-custodial parents have been successfull going to court to get
relief. However your kids need to be really sick with bad asthma before they will
act, plus its hard to prove the relation.
Is there anything that can be done about this type of situation. We are very
concerned about air pollutants, but who is watching out for kids in this situation. The
non-custodial DAd has limited options.
Please let me know if there is something I can do- I hate to see my kids sick all the
time.
