I need some state-specific information regarding the Family Medical leave Act. Does anyone know if in the state of Alaska, benefits (ie, number of weeks of leave) is determined on a per-annum basis? Or are your benefits renewed if you return to work for a period of time. Specifically, if you are off work on medical leave for three weeks, return for two weeks, and then go back on medical leave for one week, have you spent one week of your leave or four weeks? This is an important distinction for someone with cancer or a chronic disease requiring episodic treatment. Thank you.
