To copywrite, or not to be...
I am in a band in Southern California. The band consist of four members. We recorded a demo, and copyrighted the six songs as co-authors on the PA form. About five months later, after talks of a band agreement broke down, the lead singer sent in an SR form, claiming to be the sole author of the six song demo. The Copyright office has put a hold on the copyright. My question is, does the first copyright protect the band as equal partners, or due to his SR submission, do we as equal partners loose out on any ownership of the six songs?
