What is the name of your state? WI

A lady backed up into my legally parked car while I was inside of it at a public parking lot. Damage turned out to be about $300. No auto insurance for either of us. Sent numerous demand letter w/ no success. Went to small claims and she ended up not showing. Now I have judgement. She sent a financial disclosure as required by state law. She stated that she will be under the poverty level if wage is garnished. She currently rents and is paying a loan on her car. What are my options to gain money for damages to my car? I don't want to waste more money for a filing fee for wage garnishment if it does not help me. Am I SOL?

It has been awhile since I lived in WI (over 30 yrs) and apparently the dollar amount requiring reporting an accident has been bumped to $1000. But at that time if you had an accident, you either had to show proof of insurance or post required bond, or your license could be suspended until it was settled.

Apparently to get her license and registration suspended your judgement against her would have had to have been at least $500.00 http://www.dot.state.wi.us/drivers/drivers/traffic/judgment.htm

I am curious who she has an auto loan with that does not require insurance?

I guess you could look through http://www.legis.state.wi.us/statutes/Stat0344.pdf to see if there is anything else with some teeth to get the money out of her.
