I work in a radiology dept. of a lg. medical clinic. This past yr. we had a new young radiologist start work. Within 9 mo. he had asked the director of 10 yrs to step down. Administration selected new director, but radiologist is true director. Last wk. told the rad. director to speak with techs about attitude. Said if attitudes did not improve, people would be asked to leave.Tension level was already high, now this, he did not give any specifics for term attitudes. We are also in the middle of a major upgrade, going from using film and processor to develop film to a computerized method, so learning the new system has been challenging. So now more tension. Is this legal, can we be threatened like this? It makes the work place more stressful.

An unpleasant work environment is not illegal. Your options are to tolerate it or to move on.
