What is the name of your state? Maryland.
I was married on 5-13-88. I have been separated since 10-7-05. My husband and I executed a separation agreement ourselves that was notorized on 12-9-05. He insists that this document needs to be filed with the court. I personally contacted the Prince George's County Court and was told that separation agreements do not have to be filed. What is the correct procedure?
Thank you.
