What is the name of your state? Mississippi

Can someone please answer this question for me. If a person was stop by the police and went to jail for poss.of a controlled sub and an firearm. Bond was set, the police only had him charged with poss of controlled sub. that is all the paper states (poss of controlled sub) there is nothing about a gun charge on the bond. can they come back 3 months later and charge him for the gun saying he received stolen property? Someone please help !!!!

Is it illegal to have a gun in Mississippi? I used to live there and people carried them in gunracks and everywhere else. Lots of hunting in the area.

Hopefully, this "person" is going to prison for a long, long time!
