I have a friend who has pending warrants for possession of a controlled substance (class C), manufacture of a controlled substance (class B), receiving of stolen property (class C) all as a result of his residence being raided on a search warrant where he was not at home at the time. He has never been arrested on these charges because he found out of their existence and left the country. This has been over a year ago that this happened is there a time limit on how long they have to serve him on these warrants? also, once you pass this statue of limitations can they re-charge you since they never got to serve you in the first place? is that considered to be the same as that charge never being against you? So it wouldn't be like (double jeopardy), being tried for the same crime twice, Is this possible? and last, if they were able to arrest him on these warrants is their a time limit for them to take it to trial on?
