I have a partner that got pulled over a couple of weeks ago for no tags in mission woods, ks.(they had been stolen and I have since got that rectified), and found out from the officer that she had 4 warrants out from about 9 years ago. They are for driving while suspended(for old traffic tickets in MO), no insurance(2 counts, she got another one 2 months later) and expired tags. Her license is and always has been registered in MO, NOT KS.Things happened because of things going on in her life(she was 23) and she missed the court date. Now in "98 she went to the MO. dmv got her license re-instated, payed some fines(for the stuff in mo that apparently got her license suspended in the first place) and she thought that was it. Apparently something slipped through the cracks but it was so long ago she doesnt remember the specifics, but she has had a valid license ever since then and no problems ...until now. Now she has a court date in a couple of weeks and obviously we are thinking about hiring a lawyer because we dont know how much the fines are going to be and we dont know if these infractions are going to hurt her current license.Any extra advice or what we can expect would be greatly appreciated.
