michigan meth law statute of limitations

What is the name of your state? Michigan
In October 2001 an appartment was raided. There was meth manufacturing equiptment and small amounts of meth (that was manufactured there), under a gram. No meth was sold. It was personal use. The person was never arrested or contacted by the police or anyone. They fled before any formal charges were pressed. Is there a statute of limitations? What is it? How much time is the offense?

If a warrant was issued for an arrest, there are no applicable SoL. The SoL is only for the time from the crime until charged. A warant is good until it is dropped by the entity that sought the warrant or it is served.

Why would you go through all that trouble for a gram? It would of been a lot less trouble and a whole lot cheaper just to go out and buy a gram. Do you churn your own butter too?

how much time?

How much time is the sentence. Because of the time since the crime, is it possible to win a case or get a better plea? How long does it take for michigan to drop a warrent?

As to the time; it would depend upon the exact statute charged. If you have it, post it.
